Clear Vinyl Panels are made of a flexible marine-marine grade vinyl plastic. They are commonly used in conjunction with a space heater to create a warm space during the winter months. They are perfectly dense and while there are tiny incidental gaps around the edges, it will keep 97% of the pollen off your porch. Removable panels are generally hung in the late fall as temperatures drop. Once pollen season is over, they are removed and stored. Read more.
While not as effective as Vinyl panels, insect curtains will still block a majority of the pollen while offering insect protections during bug season. The amount of pollen block will depend upon the tightness of the mesh. The larger the hole count per square inch, the smaller the hole size will be. The best mesh to use is a no-see-um mesh that is used to block a very tiny biting fly commonly called a noseeum that has a hole count of over 800 holes per square inch. This mesh will block 85% of the pollen but will also protect you from biting insects.
Black no-see-um mesh offers outstanding visibility and we would not recommend white for this purpose for obvious reasons. Curtains are washable to clean dirt and pollen once pollen season is over. Read More.
Our most important concern is always quality. Here is an example. The cheap gazebo screens you may have seen on aluminum gazebos at home improvement stores are garbage. You can put your thumb right through it. Our netting is strong enough to lift this 240lb man. Even more, it is "solution dyed" such that the thread is colored and UV protected to its core. It means that your curtains won't fade or rot prematurely. All fasteners are stainless steel and our tracking hardware is powder-coated aluminum.
Avoid the Spring Rush when we are up to our eye-balls in seasonal orders.
